Duration of trip-3D/2N from Bangalore
We have started our journey from Bangalore by Bus and bus time was around 10 pm. The approximate distance from Bangalore to Ooty is 265 km.We reached at 6:30 a.m. After that, we went to the hotel did our breakfast.Then we started visiting the places.
Places to visit in Ooty
There are lots of places to visit in Ooty so as we have planned for 3D/2N so the first day we started with
1-Ooty Lake – The Ooty lake is artificial lake constructed by John Sullivan. Those who like boat riding this is a good place to those set of people. First of all the opening time of lake is morning 8 AM and it is there until 6 PM.After then, we went to the pyakar river.
2- Pyakar River-The Second place we went is Pykar River. Pyakar river 19 km from Ooty.This area is surrounded by natural beauty. River falls down different height towards the end.Also, a popular Picnic spot, as well as many filmmakers, have shot songs of their movie around the picturesque lakes. There is a Boathouse, rest house and restaurants run by the Tamil Nadu Tourist Development Corporation.
3-Shooting Point– A wondrous meadow.One of the best places to visit on Ooty .It looks like the same place that has come alive from dreams. The Picturesque setting made it a preferred location for the shooting of many films like Raaz, Raja Hindustani, Hum etc.
It is good picnic spot and it’s best to enjoy on foot.With a calm lake alongside the route leading to the point.
4 Doddabetta Peak- It is the highest mountain in the Nilgiri Hills. From Peak, you can see the whole view.There is telescope house for a better view.
5-Botanical Garden– This garden is home to many rare species of trees. The monkey bark tree and old fossilized tree round out the other rare species. We covered botanical garden at around 1:30 after that we had our lunch. These are places to visit in Ooty.After finishing our lunch we went hotel because it was time to leave Ooty.
